疾病的迷思隨處可見，不過以性病的迷思最為嚴重，社會大眾也因為迷思而經常對性病病患輕蔑嘲諷。

上述推文是取自PTT鄉民的推文，關於菜花，上述推文的說法屢見不鮮，然而事實真的是那樣嗎？

先定義根治的意義，根治是指身體完全沒有菜花病毒，自然也無從復發；要驗有無菜花病毒，可使用HPV DNA測試，如果刷遍私處可能感染菜花的上皮，包刮陰囊、陰唇、陰莖、陰蒂等處上皮，而HPV DNA都是陰性，即代表沒有任何菜花病毒，也就是所謂的根治，而研究調查也是以HPV DNA測試來決定HPV的有無。

大多數HPV感染會在兩年內清除掉。

有點醫學程度的人，都知道上面幾個Journal的威力，但是美中不足的是這些統計並不單純統計引起菜花的HPV 6 和HPV 11，不過即使是高風險的HPV 16和HPV 18感染案例，絕大部分的人也都能清除掉，只是比率有可能不會到9成那麼高，特別是HPV 16。

連高風險型的HPV尚且如此，何況菜花病毒是HPV中的肉腳！

儘管實際上菜花病毒真的是HPV中的肉腳，但還是必須引用證據才算數，以下就引用一篇調查。雖然說以下引用paper的Journal點數不如上述10篇那樣權威，但至少在該領域還算是滿前面的。
